What is 101 years of Sponsorship?
Darksearch.org has a goal, with the help of the facebook community, to sponsor 101 children from developing contries for at least 1 year each. To achieve this, DarkSearh.org has teamed up with Plan Australia (part of plan international, one of the worlds largest community development organisations). How is it to be done?
The idea is relatively simple. For every 9 people to signup and sponsor a child for a year (or more) through DarkSearch.org, Darksearch.org will sponsor the 10th. After 100 children have been sponsored (90 from the public, 10 form Darksearch.org) Darksearch will sponsor the aditional child, to bring the total to 101 years of sponsorship! The best news is that all sponsorships are tax deductable!
How much does it cost?
Just AUD$1 and change per day. Can you get by with 1 less cup of coffie a day? then you can easily afford to sign up, and have change to spare!
How do I know how many children have been sponsored?
We'll keep everyone updated 2-3 times a week with how many children have been sponsored, and how many Darksearch.org has sponsored on our FaceBook page, HERE. If you become a fan of Darksearch.org We'll be sending out updates once per month, plus you'll be able to hear about other ways to help Darksearch.org keep offering projects like this one (many of them free).
Are there any rules/special conditions?
Nothing in particular. You can contribute to Plan Australia monthly, quarterly, half yearly or anually. We're asking everyone to sponsor a child for atleast 1 year, longer if you can afford it. Theres no question that with the state of the world economy most of us have little cash to spare. Unfortunatly it means children in developing contries are struggling more than ever. Sponsors need to signup through the link HERE to ensure we can track how many people signup to sponsor children, and when we need to sponsor each 10th child.
Does it matter if im not from Australia?
Not at all! We're happy to accept help from anyone, anywhere in the world.
What if I sponsor a child after the 101 year goal has been met?
DarkSearch.org will continue to sponsor every 10th child, allong with every 202nd, 303rd etc. 101 years Is our 1st and primary goal, but we'll only be too hapy if we can reach a quarter, or even a half millennia of sponsorship! So even if you see that we've hit the 101 year goal, dont be discoraged from sponsoring a child, 101 years really is just the tip of the iceberg!
What If I dont want to/cant afford it?
You can still make a (tax deductable if over $2) donation to Plan Australia by going to their homepage. Alternatively, you can become a fan of DarkSearch.org on FaceBook, and/or start using Darksearch.org as your homepage.
